What could be more fun than Halloween? Each year the CVRC hosts a Halloween party for the neighbourhood, with music, games, temporary tattoos, art activities and, of course, Halloween treat bags! All are welcome but children under 12 must be with a parent or guardian.
December is a festive time here in Crescent Valley! We celebrate by having an annual tree lighting event with music, snacks, teddy bears, and a photographer for family portraits. All are welcome but children under 12 must be with a parent or guardian.

Summer Squad is a free, 7 week day camp. This camp is for children 6-12 and who have completed grade K to be eligible to register. Each summer children play sports and games, go swimming, read, do art activities and go on fun out trips to places like the museum, the buskers and the movies. Registration usually opens in the second week of June.
A fun 2-3 day mini camp during Christmas Break where kids take part in fun recreational and literacy based activities. This program is for children aged 6-12. Registration is required. .

Each week in the summer, we fill a wagon with a healthy snack and walk around the neighbourhood giving out samples to try.
A mobile library that travels around the Crescent Valley neighbourhood stocked with youth and children's books. This is a weekly service during the Spring, Summer and Fall. To borrow a book, only your name, date and the title of book is required information. There are no cards or due date. Just return the book or books youve borrowed whenever you are finished with the book.
As part of our community garden project, The Growing Place, we offer regular workshops on gardening and food related topics, such as starting seeds, planting herbs, composting, preserving, etc. Very informative for anyone who is interested in gardening!
In the summer months, we regularly offer outdoor activities for kids in the garden's grassy community space. These craft and game events are run by the summer students and focus on teaching the children games that they can do at home with their friends
